How is the Purchase Process?
Calves are weaned at 4/5 months through fence weaning with its dam. This process is low stress for both cow and calf allowing the calf to wean naturally and calmly.
The following weeks are about building trust, halter training, bathing, grooming and desensitization.
If you want to be part of the training process and you want to start building your relationship with your calf even before it arrives home, you are welcome to join me during the training process!
Calves are required to be picked up by 5-6 months of age. If unable to do so, we are able to provide continued calf care for $20/day until pick up.
We require a 50% non refundable deposit to hold a calf and a signed “Cattle Sale Contract”. Full payment is due one week prior to shipping/pick up.
You can pickup your calf or you can get it delivered by us (locally in Florida) or anywhere in US through our trusted, insured livestock haulers. For interstate deliveries, a veterinary health certificate is included.
Typical cost: $2.50–$4.50 per loaded mile (one-way). The exact rate depends on route, animal size, and how many animals travel together. “Loaded mile” means miles with animals on board. Share your city/state and we’ll quote it precisely.
