Description
Emilia is the first mini HighBelt (Highland x Belted Galloway) heifer born on the ranch. Oh boy, we love this girl!
She was born on the beautiful, sunny morning of Saturday, September 21st. Emilia has such natural grace and attentiveness to her surroundings—you can spend hours just watching her. She is certainly a lovely addition to any ranch!
Emilia is gentle and serene, and she has already started showing curiosity as she explores her world. Buttercup, our miniature dun Belted Galloway, is her dam and stands only 42 inches tall at 6 years old. Buttercup is a wonderful mother, always knowing where Baby Emilia is while allowing her the independence to explore and play with the other calves.
Emilia’s sire is Dunniel, our miniature dun Highland bull. Dunniel is the friendliest bull on the farm, always excited when visitors come to pet him or offer treats from their hands.
Emilia’s registration with the IMCBR is in progress and I suspect this HighBelt girl has no horns. She is nursing from her mom and will continue until January, when she turns 4 months old. At that time, she will be weaned and begin a 4-week training program to socialize. During the program, she will be halter trained, develop pet skills, and get groomed daily. I expect Emilia to inherit much of her sire’s calm and friendly personality. Call me or book a tour with us so you can meet Emilia in person and take her to your home 💕
