Name
Description

Tere’s boy is our miniature Highland cross calf for sale this season. He has a very gentle, sweet predisposition and a lot of potential as either a bull or steer.

He is approximately 75% Highland. Because of that, he brings strong Highland influence, while his crossbred background adds hardiness and uniqueness.

Based on his current size and genetics, he will most likely mature into a miniature mid-sized frame.

He was recently weaned on 6/19. Since then, he has started deeper hands-on training, including halter work, leading, grooming, and continued handling.

Even at this early stage, he already shows a lovely personality. In addition, he has started to enjoy petting, attention, and treats from our hands.

That is always a wonderful sign at this stage.

Size and Structure

Tere’s boy is a Highland cross out of Tere, a miniature mid-sized black tipped HighPark cow.

His suspected sire is either Thor, our Miniature White Highland bull, or Champion, our White Highland bull. DNA testing will confirm parent verification.

Because of his Highland percentage, color, and structure, he has the potential to grow into a handsome, eye-catching boy.

Even better, he has a sweet temperament to match.

He is chondro-negative and polled, so he will not grow horns.

His Personality

Tere’s boy has a naturally gentle predisposition. Plus, he already shows interest in people.

Although he has not completed his full training program yet, he already accepts petting and takes treats from our hands.

That early willingness to interact makes him a very promising calf for someone wanting a friendly, hands-on animal.

With more time, consistency, and exposure to our cuddle sessions, he should become even more lovable, confident, and people-friendly.

Bull or Steer Potential

Tere’s boy can go as a young bull or be castrated and go as a steer, depending on the buyer’s goals.

As a bull, he offers a nice option for someone wanting a Highland-influenced miniature cross with a gentle temperament.

In addition, he brings good Florida-weather acclimation and the extra benefit of being naturally polled.

That combination makes him a practical and forgiving option, especially for someone getting started with miniature cattle.

As a steer, he could be absolutely fantastic for petting experiences, hands-on programs, agritourism, or as a sweet companion animal.

Because of his calm nature and early interest in people, he makes a very promising candidate for a family farm or visitor-based setting.

Training Timeline

Tere’s boy will need approximately 4 weeks of weaning, training, and exposure to our hands-on program.

During that time, he will continue building trust through brushing, handling, treats, and visitor interaction.

In addition, he will continue learning through our low-stress training approach and cuddle session exposure.

As a result, he should go to his new home fully trained, lovable, and very friendly.
