I smile big recalling how our unconditional vet and hauler worked around the clock for a Christmas surprise. Yes, our first two fluffy and adorable miniature calves, Curly and Larry surprised a family for Christmas.

Barely a month after Christmas and guess what…

The new owners called, inquiring about a third mini or micro steer, captivated by the sweetness and friendliness of our miniature calves.

I was asked for a third companion to ensure neither boy would be left alone during vet visits. So I knew tiny Moe, our micro steer< fit perfectly because he was the babysitter for the boys during the weaning phase. We pair new miniature calves with older ones or micro cattle from our offspring to make the weaning phase less stressfull. (Bonus gift! Here are some weaning tips and insights into our approach)
