Description

This special group includes three sweet Micro Zebu calves that are already weaned and currently going through their halter training.

From left to right in the photo: Dunn, Tiny’s girl, and Sugarplum’s girl.

These babies have been such a joy to work with.

They are friendly, people-oriented, and already part of our cuddle and petting sessions. Because of that, they are used to visitors, children, brushing, gentle handling, and hands-on interaction.

In addition, all three calves are learning through our low-stress training program.

They are working on halter training, grooming, leading, handling, and continued exposure to people. They can go individually or as a group.

About Our Micro Zebu Crosses

At Whispering Oaks Miniature Ranch, we cross Micro Zebus with Highlands and Highland-influenced cattle because we love the traits both breeds can bring.

The Highland influence adds the cute factor, gentle predisposition, and fluffy charm so many people fall in love with.

Meanwhile, the Zebu lineage brings better adaptation to Florida weather, better parasite resistance, hardiness, and smaller size.

Because of that combination, these calves can make wonderful options for families, small farms, agritourism programs, petting experiences, and anyone wanting a smaller, friendly, hands-on calf.

Size and Structure

All three calves should mature on the smaller side.

Based on their current size, genetics, and structure, we expect them to mature around 34–36 inches tall.

Tiny’s girl and Sugarplum’s girl are both female calf prospects.

Dunn can go as a young bull or be castrated and go as a steer, depending on the buyer’s goals.

Also, all three Micro Zebu calves are most likely polled. That means they are expected to stay naturally without horns.

Tiny’s Girl

Tiny’s girl is the solid reddish-colored Micro Zebu girl in the middle of the photo.

She was born on 8/23 and is priced at $3,900.

She has a good disposition and responds well to halter training, grooming, brushing, and leading.

In addition, she has been doing very well with people interaction during our petting and cuddle sessions.

Tiny’s girl should mature around 34–36 inches tall.

Because of her size, color, and friendly nature, she could be a great fit for someone wanting a smaller female calf with a sweet foundation already in place.

Sugarplum’s Girl

Sugarplum’s girl is the solid black Micro Zebu cross with Miniature Highland / HighPark influence.

She was born on 11/25 and is priced at $4,500.

She is very friendly during cuddle sessions, enjoys being petted, and already does great with brushing.

However, out of this group, she is taking the most time to warm up to halter training and deeper handling.

She is not aggressive at all. Instead, she is simply shy and needs a little more time, patience, and consistency.

Even so, Sugarplum’s girl has a very sweet nature.

She already does well with gentle interaction, petting, brushing, and visitor exposure.

She should mature around 34–36 inches tall and is most likely polled.

Because of her black color, small expected size, and sweet personality, she could be a beautiful option for someone who understands that a shy calf can blossom with the right handling.

Dunn

Dunn is a sweet, sweet Micro Zebu cross boy with a people-loving personality.

He was born on 10/19/2025 and is priced at $3,500.

He can go intact as a young bull or be castrated and go as a steer, depending on the buyer’s goals.

Dunn loves being pet and truly enjoys people in general.

During cuddle sessions, he is a little lover. He lets visitors pet him, brush him, and spend time with him.

Because of that, he is such a fun calf to have in our hands-on program.

In addition, Dunn is doing very well with grooming sessions, baths, the blower, and handling by our team.

He also does pretty well with halter work and leading.

People love the white marking on his face, and it gives him such a cute, eye-catching look.

Dunn should mature around 34–36 inches tall and is most likely polled.

As a steer, he could be a wonderful option for petting experiences, agritourism, cuddle sessions, or as a sweet companion animal.

As a young bull, he may be a nice option for someone wanting a small, friendly, colorful Zebu-influenced bull prospect.

Their Personality

This group is friendly, curious, and fun to work with.

They are already part of our cuddle and petting sessions. Because of that, they understand people, brushing, children, visitors, and gentle attention.

In addition, our team has handled them consistently and exposed them to different people through our visitor experiences.

As a result, they have a strong social foundation already in place.

Each calf has a slightly different personality.

Tiny’s girl is progressing nicely with training. Sugarplum’s girl is sweet but shy. Meanwhile, Dunn is very people-loving and affectionate.

Training Timeline

These three calves are already weaned and currently going through their halter training.

They are learning through our low-stress handling program, which includes brushing, grooming, leading, halter work, petting, and visitor interaction.

Because they are already part of our cuddle sessions, they get consistent exposure to people in a calm and positive way.

With continued training, they should keep gaining confidence.

As a result, they should become even easier to handle, enjoy, and love.
